Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (M)
Director Wes Ball breathes new life into the global, epic franchise set several generations in the future following Caesar's reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike. "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes" is directed by Wes Ball (the "Maze Runner" trilogy) and stars Owen Teague ("IT"), Freya Allan ("The Witcher"), Kevin Durand ("Locke & Key"), Peter Macon ("Shameless"), and William H. Macy ("Fargo"). The screenplay is by Josh Friedman ("War of the Worlds") and Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver ("Avatar: The Way of Water") and Patrick Aison ("Prey"), based on characters created by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver, and the producers are Wes Ball, Joe Hartwick, Jr. ("The Maze Runner"), Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Jason Reed ("Mulan"), with Peter Chernin (the "Planet of the Apes" trilogy) and Jenno Topping ("Ford v. Ferrari") serving as executive producers.
The Fall Guy (M)
He's a stuntman, and like everyone in the stunt community, he gets blown up, shot, crashed, thrown through windows and dropped from the highest of heights, all for our entertainment. And now, fresh off an almost career-ending accident, this working-class hero has to track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy and try to win back the love of his life while still doing his day job. What could possibly go right?
Back to Black (R13)
A celebration of the most iconic - and much missed - homegrown star of the 21st century, BACK TO BLACK tells the extraordinary tale of Amy Winehouse. Painting a vivid, vibrant picture of the Camden streets she called home and capturing the struggles of global fame, BACK TO BLACK honours Amy's artistry, wit, and honesty, as well as trying to understand her demons. An unflinching look at the modern celebrity machine and a powerful tribute to a once-in-a-generation talent.
Kung Fu Panda 4 (PG)
Follow Po on his wide-eyed adventures in ancient China, whose love of kung fu is matched only by an insatiable appetite.
The Gruffalo + The Snail and the Whale (G)
The magical tale of a mouse who sets out on a woodland adventure in search of a nut. Encountering predators who all wish to eat him - Fox, Owl and Snake - the brave mouse creates a terrifying, imaginary monster to frighten them away. But what will the mouse do when he meets this frightful monster for real?
Golda (M)
Golda is a ticking-clock thriller set during the tense 19 days of the Yom Kippur War in 1973. Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir (Academy Award® winner Helen Mirren), faced with the potential of Israel's complete destruction, must navigate overwhelming odds, a skeptical cabinet, and a complex relationship with US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger (Liev Schreiber), with millions of lives in the balance. Her tough leadership and compassion would ultimately decide the fate of her nation and leave her with a controversial legacy around the world.
Waitress: The Musical (M)
Featuring music and lyrics by Grammy Award® winner Sara Bareilles ("Love Song," "Brave"), Waitress is the hit musical that's "a little slice of heaven" (Entertainment Weekly). The story of Jenna, a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage, Waitress features a book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson (I Am Sam) and direction by Tony Award® winner Diane Paulus (Jagged Little Pill, Pippin).
The Moon Is Upside Down (R16)
